TUBER MAGNATUM PICO The 88th International White Truffle Fair in Alba was presented in the church of San Francesco di Cortemilia.
From October 6th to November 25th Alba renews the appointment and the meeting between culture, territory, sensory and gastronomic experiences, with an edition dedicated to the relationship between earth and moon. With more than 600,000 attendees in the last edition, it is the cloul event highlight for excellent food and wine tourism, among the main tourist attractions for the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato areas.
The production of truffles is an event difficult to predict well in advance, the rains at the end of summer often make the difference, so that despite the trifolao for now do not express, there is a cautious optimism about the presence of White Truffle Alba founded on abundant rainfall recorded in the territory during the first part of the year, creating reserves useful for the formation of fruiting bodies.
The conference, moderated by journalist Sabrina Donadel, was attended by the president of the international fair of the white truffle of Alba Liliana Allena, the mayor of the Alba municipality Maurizio Marello, the general director of the culture and tourism office of the Region Paola Casagrande and the councilor for the environment, town planning, territorial and landscape planning, mountain development, forests, parks, civil protection Alberto Valmaggia. The mayor of Cortemilia and president of the Montana Alta Langa, Roberto Bodrito, welcomed and the president of the Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo foundation Giandomenico Genta, the president of the Alba Bra Langhe and Roero tourism agency, intervened during the press meeting Luigi Barbero, the director of the Bocuse d'Or Italy Academy Luciano Tona and the honorable MEP Alberto Cirio.
